I'm building a website, but most of my business (selling bellydance and Ren Fair/pirate costumes) comes from selling on eBay, and I post my auction links on my Facebook and other social sites. And yes, I've had auction winners tell me which social site they saw it on. Since Facebook now allows you a "username" that's what's on my business cards right now.For $11 a month I could have an eBay "store", but it will cost me less than that to host a simple CSS website w/Paypal shopping cart myself, so that's what I'm doing. Then will carpet the network-o-sphere with whatever sale I'm having that week! ;) You’re absolutely right.
